Quilt Design Challenge!
Put on your creative thinking cap and be sure to
participate in our annual Quilt Design Challenge.
For a $15 donation to the Franklin Fire Department, you will
receive a fabric kit of five fat quarters. Create your own
quilt design and make the quilt. (If you copy a published pattern,
that’s OK, but please acknowledge that on your entry. We are
hoping you will be creative and try your hand at something original!)
You may add any fabrics you wish, but an easily recognizable amount
of the five fabrics in the kit must be present in your project. Finished
size requirements are that the total perimeter (combined measurements
of all outside edges) cannot exceed 120” (that translates to
30” x 30” or some similar arrangement of numbers.) All
entries must be quilted and bound with a cloth label sewn to the back
identifying the owner. Turn in your completed project between
October 17 and October 31. We will hang the quilts in the
classroom for Viewer’s Choice voting during our Amish
Country Shop Hop which is November 4, 5 and 6. Prizes
will be awarded for first, second and third places. Due to
copyright restrictions, no photographs are permitted in our shop,
so the customers can’t photograph your quilt. Good luck
and Have FUN!!
