Savvy
Serger School and Workshops with Linda Lee Vivian
Thursday
Through Sunday September 25-28
Spend 4 days in front of
a serger with nationally renowned serging expert, designer and author,
Linda Lee Vivian. Several years ago, Linda recognized an educational
need in the exploding world of serging. Since then she has successfully
taught thousands of students to be comfortable with their challenging
sergers. Linda teaches seminars nationally at sewing expos, retailer
training conventions, sewing guilds and shops. Join us as we invite
Linda to help you make friends with a serger!
Serger Quilt
Learn to quilt on your serger as you make this fun scrappy quilt. As
you stitch the rows together you are actually quilting the top, batting
and backing all at the same time. You’ll be making these for all
your friends once you learn the easy technique! Kits available. Class
fee is $75 and includes lunch and drinks.
Thursday, 9:30 AM-5 PM: September 25
Serger Round Robin
and Trunk Show
Come see all the different kinds of stitches sergers can make. We’ll
have several sergers set up for you to experience first hand how different
stitches are formed, and how easy it is to change stitches and thread
patterns. Check out Linda’s fabulous models and ask the expert
your questions! Class fee is just $5 to reserve your seat, and
will be returned to you as a bonus for shopping that night.
Thursday, 6:30-8:30 PM: September 25

and decorative thread work. Beginners will quickly feel comfortable
as they build their knowledge and expertise, while more advanced students
will have these skills reinforced and move ahead to more advanced techniques
with ease.

are just a few techniques you’ll master in this fun workshop:
• Serger Braids
• Thread Blending
• Lace Seams

When you graduate from class, you will have many decorative pieces with
a great variety of embellishments and techniques. These can be used
for reference, turned into a vest, jacket or quilt top. Linda will offer
many suggestions for you to choose from.
Open to serger owners of all brands and skill levels. Dust off that
serger and let’s get stitching!
Cost is $225 for this full three-day event. Catered lunch and beverages
