Hand Quilting

There is a lot to know before trying to hand quilt. We cover your best choices for thread, fabric, battings, frames, thimbles, needles and more. Then we will mark, layer and baste together a small quilt. You’ll learn to hide knots, learn a ‘no knot’ technique plus learn many different methods for getting those great little hand stitches. $45

Hand Appliqué

Don’t be afraid of Hand Appliqué! In this class we cover more than 9 different ways to appliqué by hand. At least one of these methods has your name on it but it is good to learn that each project you tackle can be done with the method that suits it best. It is great to be able to appliqué anything you can think of, onto your quilts. $45
• Thursdays, 1-4 PM: November 12 and 19
Skill Levels – To ensure your success, classes have been identified as follows:
- Level 1 Has a sewing machine and knows how to operate it
- Level 2 Can quickly and accurately rotary cut without assistance. Maintains 1/4" seam allowance without help.
- Level 3 Knows most fast machine piecing techniques, strip piecing, etc.
- Level 4 Intermediate skills.
