Sew Club!
We’ve wanted to do this for a while now, and we’ve decided it’s time. So this year, we are offering to you a monthly sewing club called, simply, Sew Club.

Each month we will have an article or item that will introduce a special sewing technique in a simple-to-make project. We may take a commercial pattern and change it a bit, just for you. Or we’ll design something ourselves. You never know what’s coming. But it’s all about SEWING, not quilting.

There will be a class session up to 90 minutes long, where we will meet in the classroom to share the month’s project. It will always be the 4th Wednesday of the month. Class will be at 10 AM, 1 PM; or 6:30 PM starting in February. Come with Show and Tell. (It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just bring it!) You can show up at any of the three time slots. You don’t have to always come at 10. If you usually come at 10 and one month you’ll have to come at another time, don’t worry. Just show up.

In addition to all this fun and education, we are offering members a 20% discount any time you are in the store. We never discount quilts for sale, consignment items, class fees or services. But if we buy it to sell it to you, it’s discountable. Membership in Sew Club is just $40 per year beginning the day you sign up and pay your dues. Try it out. The discount is worth the membership fee. Club meets for up to 90 minutes at 10 AM, 1 PM; or 6:30 PM on the fourth Wednesdays of every month: May 26, June 26, July 28, August 25, September 22, etc. 2010

Sewing 101: Beginning Sewing
Charlotte
Come learn all about your sewing machine, how it works and how to keep it healthy. Then learn how to fit a pattern as you make your own pajama style pants. We’ll show you what a Serger is and you’ll get to use one to make a pillow case! $50
    •  Mondays, 6-9 PM: July 26, Aug 2, 9, 23
    •  Saturdays, 1-4 PM: July 31, Aug 7, 14 & 21

Serger Club
Sandy and Staff
Do you own a serger, but it just sits in your closet? Perhaps you’ve forgotten how to use it, or you bought it where they didn’t offer you lifetime lessons. Now, you are afraid to change the threading pattern and all you are capable of doing is the stitch it’s set on. Well, fear no more! Dust off that machine and join us every month for a few hours of learning and fun. Not every machine can do what other machines are capable of, but we’ll find a way for you to still have fun with us. We will go over a serging technique each month as we work through a skill-building notebook, then offer you a project that builds on that new skill. We encourage your show and tell as well. $25 per session or $150 for 12 sessions in a row.
    •  $25 per session or $150 for 12 sessions in a row. Saturdays, 1-3 PM:
       June 5, July 10, August 7, September 4, etc.
