Stitcher's GardenWe just started a new series of classes for the Stitcher’s Garden Quilt for those of you who have admired the work created by those in the first session! There is still time to catch up with the rest of the group so feel free to join in! What a fun way to learn to use your decorative stitches and lots of different feet and techniques to create a happy appliqué quilt--the blocks in this quilt just make you want to smile! You can use your own fabrics for the quilt or purchase a kit each month for the appliqué fabrics used. Class fee is $25 per month. Kits are just $5. A finishing kit with sashing and borders will be available to purchase near the end of the program.
This is a block of the month quilt, so the blocks will be created over 12 – 14 months. The class will normally meet the 3rd Saturday of the month: June 18, July 16 and August 20 from 1:30 – 4 PM. Make up classes will be available if you need to miss a class. During these classes, as we proceed through blocks 3, 4 and 5, we will be using yarns. buttons, and decorative stitches as we explore the circular attachment, free motion and regular couching, the button foot and 1/4” foot.  |
